During College Graduation, I started to become the hairdresser of my own. I cut my hair(w/ the help from my dad, the first time), I design my bangs, and it progress to cutting it in the style I want it to be. Early this afternoon, I just decided to have a side bangs as I already had a full bangs before.
I don't know if I'll be glad or whatnot with my new hairstyle. lol!

This motion picture is not advisable to be viewed with children. There's a lot of nudity going on plus graphic sexual interactions that were only a step behind pornography, but it has a very deep interpretation more than the frontal nudity and explicit scenes it has to offer, something that even I, can't even seem to point out.
The first few minutes of the film already gave me an idea on what to expect, I'm literally on my guard if someone else was around the house, because I felt like I'm committing a sin on witnessing that kind of scene. I'm so impressed with the cast(kudos with the supporting cast for having the courage to film such an art), especially with the leads, Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. Michael Fassbender character is very far from his portrayal of "Mr. Rochester" in Jane Eyre who seems to be so mysterious and contained of his thoughts, which is the opposite in Shame. His role is aggressive than the standard movie character, he also showed every inch of his body(believe me, every inch!), he displayed physical affection on it's superior description, and thus showed complexity with his individuality. Carey Mulligan is also a favorite of mine, and she never disappoints. I like her portrayal, her voice, her rage and her courage to flaunt her body, however I can't help to say that Fassbender steal the spotlight for this movie.
The writer created characters that are complicated that perhaps might be attributed to their previous experience which is not detailed or specified in the screenplay. I like how they presented the concept but I'm confused on the production's intention. I know that it has a deep meaning,and I want to know what it is, but I can't read the symbols that they were using(if they are) or maybe the writer is really aiming for the unanswered puzzle in our minds(but it can only be me, which I think is so ambitious) that can result to viewers frustration. There were just too much of stimulus on this film resulting to different possibilities that we want to figure out.
I still recommend this to everyone though, to people who wants to see an award winning film with usual characters presented in an unusual way.
I just can't wait for June 3, it's the biggest comeback ever of the year, not unless they'll make another comeback. haha
The teasers are killing me! Bigbang would release "Still Alive", and title track "Monster", and for Wonder Girls, I'm not sure yet if what "Wonder Party" signifies. I'm going crazy because of this Wonderbang comeback.

I first thought that it's a boring film, but I was wrong. I really like old theme films such as this movie which has a 40's setting, and has a real classic feel to it. I'm not actually aware that this movie exist not until I saw a copy on my housemate's notebook, and I took advantage of watching it upon seeing that Pierce Brosnan and Rachel McAdams are in it. I've seen a handful of films from Rachel, and those were her much publicized works, and I think that this also deserves everyone's attention but I can't think of any solid reason why, I just thought that it's an interesting film.
I like the intention of the screenplay, I also enjoyed the thrilled and twisted parts, however though it works fine on me, it might not be enough to hold other's interest. The cast were okay, but the scenes took longer than usual, in average, a single scene lasted for minutes and longer exchange of lines which might be a factor of viewing it as a bit dragging, considering that it doesn't have any additional visual appeal to add more color to the whole production as it is supposed to be in an old setting which is also a factor why it appears to be boring.
But after seeing the film till it's end, I can say that it's a nice watch. I like the black humor of the story. I also think that it displayed possible scenarios in a marriage, like lies, infidelity, dependency and more angles about being married or simply in a relationship(but not the typical love in movies, it's more of a love in the real world) . The strongest attribute of the film lies with the screenplay and I appreciate it a lot because of the way the writer presented the story in which I think is quite intense and very comical.

Ever since I saw the film's poster, I made a promise to myself to see this film, and finally promise kept. This poster caught my interest because of the colors used and how it looks different with other poster. Usually lead characters in poster have those "practice poses" but this has a natural feel in it. It seems that I'm paying too much attention with the film advertisements nowadays, I just can't help it, because it's one of the factors that will always arouse people's interest. And aside from that I'm a follower of Mia Wasikowska, giving me enough reason to watch this film plus I'm also anticipating for the performance of Ryo Kase, who looks younger than ever in his role.( I never thought that he has a Hollywood debut! He looked really good in Hachimitsu to Clover, but he looks way better here!)
Story-wise(spoiler alert!), even though the plot is nothing new but another usual death of the ill female lead and the positive change it will bring with the rebel male lead, I still commend the writer for being able to create a different angle out of the overused plot. I also like how they used an indirect scene with a solid meaning to conclude the story, it's as if leaving us the option to think of what happens next after the last scene. Although thy're able to produce a mediocre screenplay, it's not impressive enough especially if you're a film enthusiast.
I'm also deeply impressed with the woody tone of the film that they've used, giving a classic silent film vibe which suits the story and the characters. The cinematography is beyond average though music scoring is quite average, but still the total package is alright, it's decent.
Bridge to Terabithia (2007)

I was so curious to see this movie because of the poster and some positive reviews about it, aside from having Josh Hutcherson as one of the leads. He just proven that he is going to be acknowledge by many in the future because even as a child, his potential was too strong to ignore. I like the acting of the cast, and I'll never get tired of looking at AnnaSophia Robb, because she's a ringer for Keira Knightley, their features are mad the same.(totally!I can't wait for her to grow old and I know that endorsements will line up like crazy)
But even though I like the acting and I appreciate the intention, still I think that the story is a bit weak. I'm actually expecting a very fantasy-like plot such as having the female lead as mermaid and underwater world which turns out to be just an expectation. Perhaps I'm not just into this kind of film, that I think would best suit young people and even those young at hearts. The graphic effects of the film only showed how good the production is, as they were also the people behind Chronicles of Narnia. The visuals are really appealing and it would be appreciated of anyone regardless of age and I can say, that is one of the film's strengths.
Overall, it's worth to watch and a fun film that you can check out especially with kids.

This is the first Woody Allen film that I truly appreciate. The length of the movie sets the whole atmosphere and also gives enough foundation with the characters and it's plot. The writer touches a lot if social issues from infidelity down to one's luck which only adds more substance to an already exceptional piece. I was carried away with Jonathan Rhys Meyers sensual and cryptic behavior as Chris which I think really suits him, as I saw him portraying King Henry VIII in the American series, The Tudors. I also think that Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a bit underrated, and it's not fair because his acting is really convincing and he does it with almost all of his portrayal, but then again the recognition is not as big as with the other stars. This is also the first time that I saw some good acting from Scarlett Johanson, well I haven't really watch a lot of her films, but hopefully this would be a start of a Scarlett film marathon.
Story wise, this screenplay is truly a winner, and it's actually one of the strengths of this film. It also has a decent cinematography and a beyond average music scoring that contributes on highlighting the characters emotion and even just simply to foreshadow the coming events. I'm deeply impressed with the film's intention and disturbed at the same time. It's just that there were lots of things that were discussed in the film that are of course based from reality. It's maybe one of the reasons why I like it, because it was able to mix the concept of reality and theory which only evokes a great deal of sense on considering it's argument.
In conclusion, it's a very creative and mind boggling motion picture that deserves everyone's applause.

I think I'm being drawn to John Hughes films especially because he was casting the same people in most of his works, the familiarity of the actors just increases my interest to watch his films, thus ending up downloading Sixteen Candles. I've already expressed in my previous posts on how much I like Molly Ringwald, and I would never get tired of repeating it, because she's just so classic with the roles she portrayed plus her unique beauty just adds more appeal to her character. When I saw the trailer, I expected that it would be better than the previous films I saw from the same production but unfortunately, this must have been the most insignificant story out of those films.
The title itself is already catchy that would let your creative juices think of a rom-com of sort, which is like 1/4 fulfilled in this motion picture. I like the attempt of bringing a story out of the sixteen age concept but it just didn't meet my expectation, though I would really commend the humor of the story which is lead by Anthony Michael Hall, he never failed to make me laugh on his every scene and even awkward at times.(haha! Another character that puts smile on my face is John Cusack, yes, you read it right, he has a small part as one of the sidekicks of Anthony Michael Hall, he looks so young and oddly funny. And how can I forget to mention Michael Schoeffling, he looked so beautiful that I just can't take my eyes off him whenever he appears on the screen, and it would be nice to see him in modern films.
Well overall, it might have been a film from 80's that almost everyone is bragging about but didn't really live up to it's reputation, however it still count as one of the famous teenage films in 80's that you must not miss.

This film blows my mind away. The experience of watching this kind of art is unbelievably amazing, and the film didn't stop there because it will make you feel the different emotions that there is in the world. I felt like watching a documentary about a real life relationship. The actors were so good with their characters, the acting surpasses acting that it looks so real. The plot is very realistic to me, it didn't follow the cliche of love in films but instead shows what love is really about in every sense of that word, the happiness and pain it brings to each of us, the kind of love that everyone knows and not just a fancy concept made by man.
I'm lost for words on describing how I like this movie a lot, from the cinematography down to the wardrobe, it totally captivated me. And even though, I was a bit taken aback on how they presented the ending, still the intention of the production was definitely achieved. The message that the writer was trying to imply is worth noting for, and I admire whoever he is to come up with this brilliant film.
I know there are lots of negative feedback with the ending but I think that the closing scene gave a lot of punch with the storyline, it's as if it serves as the climax and resolution which I think is pretty unconventional. I also like how they uniquely end it in a way that it can be interpreted in various ways depending on how you process the symbols, and I admit that I was confused at first, then the realization just clicked from somewhere, and a feeling of appreciation overwhelms me that I can't help but to be in awe for watching it.
This is definitely one of the best films for 2011.

I was very intrigued to see this motion picture, as it has tons of positive feedback. Another reason why I'm excited to watch it is because of Molly Ringwald, who I like after watching "Pretty In Pink" which was also directed of the same person, John Hughes.
The Breakfast Club was a sort of a one-setting-shot kind of film where in the whole hour and half, shows scenes only from one place.(yes, all through out the film, it was shot in the "university", mainly in a library/room). So just basing from the set up of the setting, you can judge that the production has no intention of making complicated twists and turns because it focuses instead on the meaning of the story, on the roles they are trying to portray, on the message they are trying to convey. This depicts the labels of youth in our society but in 80's point of view, however, though the intention is very creative, I would appreciate it more, if they had polished the lines, well actually the whole script, especially the first half of the film. It's one of those films that you can cut all the sequence from the start till the last 30 minutes of the film and would still able to understand it. It's like a simple plot that had been stretched out exaggeratedly, but it doesn't change the fact the it's one of the best teenage films of 80's which is why it's worth to watch.

This film comes as a surprise, I never expected that it would be this good. I can't help but to have prejudice with Jung Ryeo Won's film because of so much films under her belt, I felt that some of it are not worthy enough to be part of, she can sometimes have a poor choice of production to participate in, and that's just my take on being apprehensive with her films(but so far, I like most of her film that I've already watched because of course I'll not choose the bad ones). So, I never expected anything and I just watched it for the sake of watching it, but there comes the surprise, this is a very heartwarming film in the most lightest way possible. I'm so impressed with the writer for enabling to pull the film's direction on a happier note and not another suffocating-tearjerker-getting-old-melodrama. I like the intention of the writer and it's really refreshing to see a film that gives focus on the angle in which the production decided to dedicate the story.
I like the rom-com feel to it with the slight drama on the side. I appreciate that the production gives focus on viewers satisfaction than fulfilling their artistic cravings in offering weird endings or cliff hangers(w/c I really enjoyed doing as a writer). Everything in this film were all done beyond average, especially the music scoring. I also like how the actors portrayed the character, and Uhm Tae Woong really stand out for his characterization with his role, it's as if I'm really seeing the character because you wouldn't see the usual trace of Uhm Tae Woong in this character thus making it looks more convincing. Jung Ryeo Won as usual displays her good acting skills though didn't offer anything extraordinary but I commend the way she looked in the film, she looks more healthy, she's glowing with more meat in her body w/c suits her more rather than her natural slimmed body.
I can say that this film shows one of the best example with the statement "live at the moment", and overall, I recommend this to everyone because it will surely make you feel good about life, and of course, it will melt your heart with story of love.
